Air Quality Engineer
AIR QUALITY ENGINEER
TRC is searching for an Air Quality Engineer for our Cincinnati office. This position will focus on supporting project assignment in Air Quality, including emission calculations, and permitting and regulatory compliance. Job responsibilities will include the following: completing annual emissions inventory and toxic release inventory reports, assisting with NSR permitting, federal operating permits (Title V), state and federal permit compliance, and NSPS and MACT compliance primarily for industrial clients. Work with staff and clients to develop efficient solutions to meet regulatory requirements. Perform engineering calculations and evaluations and propose solutions to client needs accordingly. Actively seek out projects and solutions and offer assistance where needed. Willing to work on-site at client locations for an extended period of time. Act as a liaison between environmental and process personnel and assist with any environmental related projects that arise. Work cooperatively with TRC team members to provide superb consulting services for clients.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of related Air Quality experience and a minimum of a Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering degree. Experience in Air Quality engineering and regulations in a consulting, industrial, or agency setting in the following areas is a plus: new source permitting (PSD and non-attainment), air emission control technology reviews, emissions inventory and Title V permitting, and regulatory compliance evaluations. This position requires an understanding of Federal air quality regulations and policies and emerging regulatory programs. Familiarity with one or more States regulations as well as experience in industries such as oil refining, chemical andpharmaceutical, electric utility, paper and packaging, and consumer products manufacturing is a plus. Candidate must be willing to seek out projects and provide solutions where necessary.

Expertise in spreadsheets and word processing. Responsible for interpreting, coordinating, and executing specific task assignments; demonstrate outstanding listening skills to capture pertinent information and effectively communicate that information to other team members; ability to anticipate clients needs; attention to detail.
