TRC specializes in environmental licensing and compliance, natural resource and cultural resource management; air quality permitting and measurements, environmental remediation, and civil, environmental and power delivery engineering. TRC s energy facility licensing practice focuses on site-specific and linear energy projects, particularly electric generation facilities, and high-voltage transmission lines and substations. TRC currently has the following opening in our Lyndhurst, NJ office.
Senior Project Manager/Senior Environmental Planner
Successful candidate must have a BS/MS in environmental resources, environmental planning, natural resources, and/or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of directly applicable experience in NEPA and state environmental impact assessments and environmental permitting. Responsibilities will include the management of projects from the proposal stage to final product, including technical approach, schedule development, cost estimate development, project budget and schedule tracking and control, client interface, technical direction of multi-disciplinary project studies, quality review of deliverables, and document production. Experience in environmental permitting and licensing in support of various business sectors including independent power producers, electric utilities, and natural gas and petroleum products pipelines and/or storage is required. Must have experience with regulatory permitting and compliance such as New York State Article 10, Article VII, FERC, NEPA, USACOE permitting requirements including Section 404 and Nationwide Permit Programs, ESA, NHPA, etc., and the ability to direct mid-level and junior staff in preparation of permit applications and compliance documents. The successful candidate must be able to represent TRC s clients in regulatory meetings and public hearings. Proven written and verbal communication skills (involving controversial projects, emotionally charged public audiences, and consultations with resource and regulatory agency personnel) are a must. Familiarity with NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYSPSC, and PADEP is a significant plus.
